Important information:

  • Each group runs for 4 consecutive weeks, which is the minimum commitment to join the group.

  • Participants can opt to re-enrol for another 4 weeks within 24h of the final session.

  • Refunds for missed sessions are not available. However, £20 credit will be offered towards re-enrolment for up to one complete missed session. No credit is available for partial or further missed sessions.

  • This group is not a replacement for therapy and is not designed for those in crisis

  • You remain responsible throughout your participation in the group to take good care of yourself and to employ the appropriate measures to protect your health and well-being

What will the group sessions cover?

Across the four sessions we’ll explore a range of themes through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS), using gentle guided exercises and discussion.

Topics may include:

  • Common “tricky” parts — such as inner critics, anxious or overwhelmed parts, procrastinators, perfectionists, and addictive patterns — and understanding the protective roles they play

  • Accessing more Self-energy — the natural qualities of calm, compassion, courage, creativity, clarity and wisdom that exist within everyone

  • Unburdening extreme roles — helping protective parts soften so they no longer need to work so hard

  • Legacy gifts and burdens — recognising what we carry from our culture, environments and ancestors, and gently healing what no longer serves us

The sessions are experiential and practical. We will use The Internal Family Systems Workbook by Dr Richard Schwartz during the group, so participants are asked to have their own copy.

How can the sessions help?

As you become more familiar with your inner system, you’ll hopefully start to experience shifts such as:

  • greater self-understanding and self-compassion

  • less inner conflict between different parts

  • more confidence in decisions and boundaries

  • reduced rumination, anxiety or self-doubt

  • the courage to move closer to meaningful goals or changes

Everyone’s process will be different, but the intended purpose of the group is simple:

to help you know your inner world more deeply, so you can live with greater freedom, steadiness and authenticity.

Is this group right for you?

This group is most likely to suit people who:

  • are curious about Internal Family Systems (IFS) and want to experience the model in practice

  • are already somewhat reflective and interested in personal growth

  • want a small, thoughtful space for inner work rather than a large programme or course

  • are open to listening inward and exploring their inner world with curiosity

  • value respectful, confidential group spaces

You do not need prior experience with IFS.

This group is not intended to provide:

  • therapy or crisis support

  • structured teaching or training

Add a 1:1 Session

+£125/ 60 min

As a participant of the IFS Coaching Group, you have the option to book 1:1 sessions with Madeline during the period of the group enrolment.

This will help us to deep dive further on anything that comes up during the group sessions that you’d like some extra support with.

With hundreds of hours of 1:1 client experience, Madeline’s compassionate approach has proven extremely impactful in helping individuals experience meaningful shifts, sometimes in as little as one session.

If you’d like to book a 1:1 session, you’ll find all of the information within your IFS Group Coaching confirmation email.

“Madeline was recommended to me by two separate people that did not know one another, so I saw it as a definite possibility to ask her for some sessions.

I am so glad I did that! As a therapist who uses IFS myself, I can be very discerning about who I go to see. I needn’t have worried at all. as I felt in safe and kind hands, in our first meeting.

Madeline was able to quickly guide me through the IFS work, with gentle, firm, reassuring and knowledgable ease. I was astounded by the results that happened within the first two sessions. I immediately noticed that I was waking up in the morning and thinking differently. Differently, in that, I had none of the usual negative cognitions about myself! I recognised that I was ‘thinking differently’ since my perception of myself had changed.

I have continued to work with Madeline on different emotions and parts of myself and could not recommend her highly enough.

I have an EMDR Supervisee having sessions and an ex-client, both of whom are also feeling enormous benefits from working with Madeline.

I am delighted with how differently I now feel, at the ripe old age of 65, and only wish that I had started the work earlier in my life.”

EMDR Practitioner

What a Typical Session Looks Like

Each 60-minute session is different, and the ‘agenda’ is held loosely in order to best support the group. Sessions can include:

  • short introduction to the theme for the week;

  • a guided IFS exercise or reflection, using The Internal Family Systems Workbook as our guide;

  • time for optional sharing and witnessing;

  • mini-demo sessions with willing participants;

  • space for questions and integration.

You will be invited to share and participate in each session, as far as you are willing and able to.

The intention is to create a gentle, respectful container where each person can explore their inner worlds at the pace their system allows.
